The Town Hall of Vila Viçosa is organizing, by the third consecutive year, the Contest Borba Florida (Flowery Borba). With this initiative we want the inhabitants of the historical centre of Borba to embellish their porches and windows with vases and flowery plants. Thus, the town of Borba will be more colourful, lively and welcoming to its inhabitants and visitors.
The contest will be opened to all the residents of the town historical centre. The participation is free through a detachable sheet to deliver in the Gabinete Verde (Green Office) of the Town Hall of Borba.
The vases could be asked for to the autarchy and were delivered together with plant substrate and flowery plants, by the symbolic value of 3.00€ for new competitors. The flowers to decorate the vases of those who participated in the previous editions of the contest were free.
The evaluation commission made the first visit to the competitors in the 15th of May and the second in the 17th of July. The last will take place in the 15th of September and until then this commission will accompany the evolution of the flowering and the beauty of the plats in the windows and porches.
The divulging of the contest results will take place in the 29th of September, being attribute a trophy to the competitors with the three best porches or windows.

1 – The contest is open to all inhabitants of the Historical Centre of the Town Hall of Borba;
2 – The porches and windows should be allusive to the theme Flowery Borba, decorated with vases and flowery plants supplied by the Town Hall. However the decoration of the façades is to one’s imagination criteria.
3 – The inscription is done by the fulfilment of a detachable sheet which will accompany the divulging brochure and delivered in the Gabinete Verde of the Town Hall.

5 - The evaluation commission made the first visit to the competitors in the 15th of May and until the 15th of September this commission will accompany the evolution of the flowering and the beauty of the plants in the windows and porches, being the result of those visits that will chose the winners.
6 – The three best windows or porches will be distinguished and prized;
7 – The divulging of the results will be done by notice in the 29th of September;
8 – The delivery of the prizes will be defined and the winners will be informed in writing about the place, date and time.
9 – The prizes will be raised by the competitor or by his/her representative duly identified.
