The autarchy of Borba organizes every year two important cycles of environmental education activities, in order to motivate the students of the municipality (from the preschool till the end of Basic Education). The first initiative happens in the beginning of spring, signalling the World Tree Day (21st of March) and the World Water Day (22nd of March). The second initiative intends to signalize the Children’s Day (1st of June) and the World Environment Day (5th of June). The activities occur in partnership with the School Grouping of the Municipality being articulated with the school calendar.

Among the activities already done in this ambit we underline the following:
- Delivery of Ecopontos (recipients to select recycling garbage) to the schools of the municipality along with some games and the distribution of posters presenting some recycling basic rules.
- Tree plantation in several places of the municipality;
- Thematic shows about water saving;
- Exhibition “Vamos reutilizar”;
- Exhibition “Água, Resíduos e Energia”;
- Clarification sessions and workshops about oak-plantations;
- Visits to the sanitary embankment e waste transfer station of Évora;
- Offer of puzzles about the water-cycle;
- Journeys to the Serra d’Ossa;
- Musical show: Energy Planet;
- Offer of t-shirts with drawings done by children about water, energy and waste.
- Decoration of the municipal sweeper with drawings done by the students about waste.
